Updated Stock Management System alongside a Magento patch last month. Cleared cache, checked the two flows we care about, done. That should be normal and often is not.

Stock Management System replaced a messy mix of overrides we had been maintaining ourselves. Less to break on updates, and the back office screens are clear enough that our ops person did not need me on calls.

Magento Stock Management System | Inventory Control is not trying to be a whole new admin. It adds the piece we were missing and stays out of the way. That is harder to find than it sounds.

I read the guide first — it was enough to install Stock Management System. Later we wanted a small behaviour change; support confirmed what was possible and what was not, which I prefer to a vague yes.

That was the test. If the store manager can use Stock Management System without a Zoom call, it is good enough. They could. A couple of tooltips would help, but we are fine.
