I checked overrides after installing Product PDF. It did not spray files everywhere. Easier to live with on Shopify, which we still update ourselves.

Each hack broke on its own schedule. Product PDF is one module, one vendor, one place to look when something is off. Worth it for that alone.

Updated Product PDF alongside a Shopify patch last month. Cleared cache, checked the two flows we care about, done. That should be normal and often is not.

I compared the feature list on Shopify Product PDF with what landed in our back office. It is the same product. No surprise locked screens. Ratings would be 5 if the email templates were a bit nicer.

The translation strings in Shopify Product PDF are slightly inconsistent and one filter could be faster. Functionally it does what we bought it for, and support did not disappear after payment.

Product PDF took a process that lived in Google Sheets and put it next to the orders. Mistakes dropped because people stopped retyping. That is the whole story.

First pass at the config of Product PDF I overcomplicated. Support said to start with the defaults. They were right. Running simply now.

That is rare. After two weeks on Shopify Product PDF the warehouse / support people did not want to go back. I am not uninstalling a tool they actually like.

Product PDF replaced a messy mix of overrides we had been maintaining ourselves. Less to break on updates, and the back office screens are clear enough that our ops person did not need me on calls.

Purchase, download, install, first successful test — same day for Shopify Product PDF. Questions after that were answered in normal working hours. Fine by me.
