Prestashop Login By User Name | User Name Sign in – Signup Module

Customers can log in with their username or email using the Username Module. Additionally, a username is generated automatically from the email address.

Additionally, the admin can add or modify user names in the backend.

Features 

Username Module allows customer to login using email or username. We have the username field in

registration form. This field has the following validations:

1. Each customer has a unique username.

2. We can restrict Username length using admin configuration. 

We can create customer with username from admin as well. Username will display in My account

page (along with first name and last name). In checkout page, customer can login using email or

username. It automatically generates username from email address.

Example: Email- testcustomer13456789021@gmail.com

Username will be testcustomer13456789(it will take 1st 20 characters)

Features

• Backend option to enable or disable first name and last name from registration page.

• Admin can set default first name and last name.

• Customer can update their name from “My Account section”.

• Simple registration by filling Email, Username and password. 

• Backend option to restrict username length

• Customer can login using username or email address

• Customer can retrieve their username by clicking on forgot username.

• Each customer will have unique username

Installation 

Step-1. Install the module zip and configure the module.

Step-2. Customer can sign up or singing by using username.

Step-3. To enable username feature in backend. Admin has to follow instruction from modules Readme file
